LATISSE in Atlanta, GA

Vein & Skin Laser Center offers Latisse® treatments for the residents of Atlanta, Sandy Springs and the surrounding communities in Georgia.

Full eyelashes are one of the most feminine qualities in a woman. Some women are born with full lashes, while others are not. However, products like mascara, eyelash extensions and eyelash curlers help women who have fewer lashes to achieve a darker, longer look. These products and techniques offer only a temporary solution. Over treating lashes often leads to eyelashes becoming dry and brittle, causing them to lose their thickness and fall out.

Latisse® is the first and only eyelash treatment that has been approved and proven effective by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). With Latisse®, patients can obtain long-lasting results with their eyelash treatment. You must consult with your doctor first if you would like to use Latisse®, because it is only available by prescription.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Latisse®?

Latisse® solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough lashes) used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker.

How does Latisse® work?

Latisse® is believed to affect the growth of the eyelash hair cycle. First, Latisse® increases the length of the lash. Second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase. The exact way it works is unknown.

How do I apply Latisse®?

It is a once-a-day treatment that you apply yourself in the evening to the base of the upper lashes. You should never apply this to the lower part of your lash or directly in your eye.

How soon will I see results?

Latisse® users may see results at eight weeks, with full results at twelve to sixteen weeks.

Is Latisse® a replacement for mascara?

Mascara can be used, in addition to Latisse®, for darker lashes. Latisse® is mainly for inadequate or not enough lashes.

What if I forget to apply one night?

If you miss one or more applications, don’t try to catch up. Simply apply the Latisse® treatment the next evening and then stay on schedule.

What happens if I stop using Latisse®?

Your eyelashes are expected to return to their regular appearance over weeks or months after non-use.

What are the possible side effects of Latisse® solution?

The most common side effects are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness. Side effects that have been reported that are more rare include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids. Latisse® use may cause darkening of the eyelid skin, which may be reversible. Latisse® use may also cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye, which is likely to be permanent.

What should I do if I wear contact lenses?

You should remove your contact lenses prior to using Latisse®, but you may reinsert those 15 minutes after application.

What should I do if I get Latisse® in my eye?

Rinse your eye immediately.

Who should NOT use Latisse®?

Do not use Latisse® solution if you are allergic to the ingredients. Read the ingredients thoroughly to know if you are allergic to anything that is contained in the product.

What should I do if I experience eye redness?

Eye redness may occur immediately after use. Consult your doctor if the redness persists, or if you notice other symptoms.

What should I do if I experience eye itching?

Consult your doctor if itching persists. Keep in mind that some eye itching may occur immediately after use.

While cosmetic improvement is often a factor in seeking Latisse® treatments, Vein & Skin Laser Center understands that facial rejuvenation is often the primary concern for patients in Atlanta, Sandy Springs and the surrounding communities in Georgia.
